I went with my niece to see Kung Fu Panda 2 today,(which I loved BTW) and we were talking about how we couldn’t see Jack Black being animated into any other animal than a panda. It’s the perfect cartoon body for his voice and personality. The same goes for Angelina Jolie as Tigress. She is perfect for that role. I don’t, however, agree with Dustin Hoffman as the voice of Master Shifu. I think the role is better suited for the likes of Morgan Freeman.
This got us talking about what type of animal we would be if we were animated. My niece told me she would either be a giraffe or a zebra, for no reason in particular. I would like to be something awesome, like a lion or a wise old turtle, but I can’t help feeling like I would be the awkward little monkey or something similar in the animated talking animal movie version of my life.
Or maybe I’d be a Sloth. I wouldn’t have to do really anything and I’d be totally content. Now that I’m thinking about it, being a sloth might be an A+ choice.
